The Heart’s True Home

Peace is not found
when life settles
and every troubling voice
grows quiet.

It enters when Christ
ascends the throne
within the heart—

when His word
carries more weight
than the news we fear,

when His promises
speak louder
than the questions
we cannot answer,

and when His presence
becomes more certain
than everything
we can see.

Storms may still gather,
and circumstances
may raise their voices,

but they can no longer
rule the room.

Where Christ reigns,
fear may knock,
but it cannot enter
as king.

Beneath His quiet authority,
the restless heart remembers:

Peace is not found
in the absence of trouble,

but in the presence
of the One
whom trouble must obey.
