Inspired By Job 28:12-28
They searched beneath the mountains,
where hidden treasures sleep,
and asked the earth for wisdom
in chambers dark and deep.
Gold answered with its glitter,
the sea replied, “Not here,”
for wisdom is not captured
by things the world holds dear.
The deep could only whisper,
the jewels could not explain,
and death had heard a rumor
but could not make it plain.
Then God, who weighs the windstorm
and marks the lightning’s way,
spoke truth above the searching
that still holds firm today:
“The fear of God is wisdom;
to turn from sin is sight.”
Not merely knowing answers,
but walking in His light.
For higher than man’s thinking,
beyond what minds can frame,
is God’s own holy likeness—
our goal, to bear His name.
