Unchased

There are rooms
where your shadow arrives
but your name does not—
light knocking softly
on uninterested walls.

One day,
something in you remembers
you were not made
to haunt thresholds,
apologizing for existing.

You turn,
and in the quiet behind you
walks a Presence
that has always known your weight in stars—
and suddenly it’s clear:

it was never you
that was lacking,
only the room
too small
to hold your light.
