(Inspired by Lamentations 3:25 “The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”)
The Lord is good—so whispers grace,
To those who seek His hidden face.
Not rushed by time, nor swayed by fear,
His presence waits, so calm, so near.
The world demands a hurried pace,
Yet blessings bloom in patient space.
A soul that lingers, still, in prayer,
Finds treasures planted waiting there.
For hope is shaped in silent days,
Through shadows deep, His light still stays.
The waiting heart learns faith is strong,
Though night feels endless, dawn won’t wrong.
I choose to seek, though eyes can’t see,
The hand that writes my destiny.
Each pause, each tear, each quiet plea,
Becomes a place He meets with me.
And when the morning breaks at last,
I’ll see His goodness, holding fast—
That every step, both slow and small,
Was led by One who is my all.
