Not bound to ink or ancient page,
Nor trapped within a bygone age—
The Word walks on through time and space,
Alive with light, with fire, with grace.
It shines where choking shadows stay,
A lamp that turns the night to day;
It burns the dross, refines the soul,
A holy flame that makes you whole.
It shatters chains you cannot break,
A hammer falls for mercy’s sake;
It cuts through lies with sharpened sword,
Unveiling truth before the Lord.
It shows your face with mirror’s light,
Yet floods it full of mercy’s sight;
It washes guilt in cleansing streams,
And plants in dust His living dreams.
It feeds the soul with milk and bread,
With honey sweet by Spirit led;
It rains on ground once hard, once bare,
Till hope takes root and blossoms there.
It anchors you when tempests roar,
And holds you fast to Heaven’s shore;
It lifts your gaze through storm and skies
To see the Day Star’s rising eyes.
So take it up—this Word that lives,
That guards, that guides, that breaks, forgives;
For every page, each holy line,
Still breathes with life and speaks divine.
